Our story

Born in Virginia as a solution to an escalating problem.

Across the US, customer service jobs — and other roles like them — were leaving. Some went overseas. Others vanished into automation, consolidation, or quiet shutdowns. Whole communities that had built their economies around call centers watched the work walk out the door.

Brian Auville had been at two of those call centers when they shut down. The first was in Johnson City, Tennessee. The second was Pennington Gap, Virginia — a closure that erased 20–30% of the area's jobs overnight, and it was the one that decided it for him. Rather than chase another job that might disappear, Auville started planning something different: a business that could put that work back inside American homes, on terms the workers actually controlled.

He conceived the plan in 2014. In 2016 he legally formed Auville Resources Company and joined the Arise Platform as an Independent Business. The bet was simple — motivated Americans, given an honest platform and direct support, can deliver Fortune 500-grade customer service from home.

Today, Remote Customer Care services — in some form or fashion — more than 30% of all Fortune 500 companies, and we do it from the USA. Across the country, remote agents are working from their own homes, and America is steadily getting back many of the service and telecom jobs that left.

We aren't claiming we made that happen alone. But we're proud to be one of many companies that have banded together to bring this work back home.

Questions

The things people ask before they apply.

Pay typically ranges from $13 to $19 per hour depending on the campaign. Payment is twice a month, direct deposit, from the Arise Platform to your bank account. Any business-related fees are deducted from earnings — and we'll explain every one of them before you commit to a client.
Independent contractor (1099). You are not an employee of Remote Customer Care, Auville Resources Company, Arise, or any client brand. You handle your own taxes and self-employment obligations. We can point you to resources for the bookkeeping side.
Depends on the campaign you pick. Some campaigns have just 2–3 days of phase-1 training before you can start taking calls in phase 2. Others take 1–2 weeks, or about a month for the deeper certifications. There's truly a fit for every timeline — we'll help you pick one that matches yours.
Yes. You self-schedule intervals (as short as 30 minutes on many clients) up to two weeks in advance, and you choose your own campaign and client. The only floor is the 10-hour weekly minimum required by the platform — beyond that, your hours are yours.
Only states where the Arise Platform is welcomed and allowed. The eligible list changes over time, so we confirm your state at the time you apply. If your state isn't currently eligible, we'll tell you up front — no wasted time on either side.
Each client provides their own certification course (instructor-led or self-paced, varies by program). On top of that, Remote Customer Care provides onboarding guidance, troubleshooting help, and ongoing direct communication. You will not be figuring this out alone.
No hard feelings. The model rewards self-starters who like flexibility — it isn't for everyone, and we'd rather have an honest conversation up front than have you feel stuck. Apply anyway; the worst outcome is we both realize the fit isn't there.
